Yelo.  I got a debate topic for you. Not sure if this is the right place to post it but...here goes my rant: IGNORE IF YOU LIKE, PLEASE NO FLAMES. Thoughtful insights welcome.

Seme or uke? One huge issue in the KKM community, well for the YuurixWolframxYuuri side of it any way, is whos on top. There is no clear answer to this. But I want to give my thoughts.

I personally have a slight preference of Yuurix Wolfram (Yuuram as you can see by the icon), but WolYuu works really well too. I think that in a real gay relationship it mostly depends on who feels more comfortable where.I just think that the characters are pretty flexible when it comes to top or bottom. So if the fan-fic writer does it well either or both can work just fine.

But it does cause some OCness when it come to fan-fictions that annoys me. First the uke half of the equation because it is the most difficult to address. Ahem... Wolfram is an 82-year-old fire wielding demon soldier! He is not a girl, he may look like one without much effort, but he is not a girl!  And yes, there are guys who would be more submissive given a very masculine partner, but this is not the case with Wolfram and Yuuri, even if they both have their "I am MAN" moments, overall neither is type to give up control for a long time.

Wolfram, being a boy and Wolfram, would not act like some of the annoying and overly dependent girls for shojo manga /anime.In all honestly being a girl with tomboy tendencies I think: I would not act like that.  And I personally think its an insult to kick-butt females every where. (I also have a problem with wimpy ukes in general, and avoid such stories like the plague.) If Wolfram was uke he would be the kick--butt "I'm on bottom cause I want you to do all the work", whip in hand uke.

Another thing that bothers me is seme Yuuri. Perverted seme works very smexily in many BL stories (makes for wonderful smut  ;-).  I think Yuuri would not be such a lover, at least not at first. He would the gentle, slow, and loving kind. Partly because of inexperience with either male or female partners, but also because, for the most part , thats just his character. If Yuuri were uke I think it would be because Wolfram really wanted to be top, and Yuuri could not refuse out of affection, maybe it would be the same for Wolfram too since it seems to be hard for him to say 'No' to Yuuri.

Wooohooo. * stops to take a breath*. I think I'm done for now. I might come back with more of the rant though

I guess I'm just a bit upset today. Not in a bad a way, more in a "can't figure out which shoe looks cuter" way. I'm such a fan of Kyou Kara Maou, that I'm torn between the novel that I just started reading, and anime that I've watched more or less three times. They apparently have very different plot lines for the last  40+ episodes off the anime.
When they're is a movie adaptation to a book, I usually take the book has the authority and more or less just ignore the movie as a fan fiction. But if they book and the anime really are so different, and I'm interested in the book from the anime, then maybe I should take the novels as fanfiction?
So really which show do you think is better?
